LOLA BAE

A collection of several empty buildings giving space to the Southeast community

Context

Amstel III is an office area in transition. Within this transition, some buildings become vacant giving opportunities for those who seek affordable space.

Concept

Four buildings (and counting) are being transformed by the magnificent team of LOLA BAE into amazing places for the Southeast community. This includes event and exhibition spaces, music studios, beauty courts, housing and much more.

Contribution

The whole team of LOLA BAE is the heart and soul of the newly created community buildings bringing together the social and creative minds of the Southeast. We The City, as part of HOBU, organized Explore Sessions and Morning Meetups. We asked developers (and other parties) to show spaces that were open for use during a bike ride through the area. During these sessions, the LOLA organization and developer Certitudo came together and joined forces to fill the vacant spaces. More developers followed later on.
